Kathi is our enthusiastic and knowledgeable Esthetician and Team Lead for The Skin Corner.  She has been with Dr. Tanghetti since April 2003, providing top-of-the line skin care services and education for our patients.  Her passion for patient care, health and fitness are an excellent compliment to our practice.

BRYNN CRAWFORD
ESTHETICIAN

Brynn has been a member of the Skin Corner team since February 2007.  She has been a practicing Esthetician for over two years.  She finds her position as a Product Specialist and Esthetician very rewarding. Brynn enjoys getting to know each patient and working with them to achieve their skin improvement goals.  Working  with this leading dermatologist provides her with the opportunity to treat patients with medically directed products and services.

VICKI ROWDEN
PRODUCT SPECIALIST

Vicki provides patient education and has been with the Center for Dermatology since June 1999.  With equal amounts of passion for customer service and for medicine, she has 16 years experience working for physicians in pediatrics, neurology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and dermatology.

ESPERANZA DEVERS, R.N.

Esperanza Devers attended Chico State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in nursing and her RN license.  She worked as a home health nurse for eight and a half years and has been working as a laser nurse since January 2004.  She has experience with various laser systems including laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, and laser photo-rejuvenation treatments.

SHEA ALVARADO, R.N.

Shea Alvarado has been a Dermatology and Laser nurse since June of 2002. She studied nursing at San Francisco State University which is where she received her Bachelors of Science in nursing and her RN license.  She did most of her laser training at the Berman Skin Institute in Palo Alto California.  Shea has had extensive training over the last few years in several laser systems and have specialized in laser hair removal and laser tattoo removal.

EMIL A. TANGHETTI, M.D.

Dr. Tanghetti was born and raised in Sacramento.  He attended U.C. Davis where he excelled in his studies and received early admission to UCLA School of medicine after only 3 years of undergraduate studies.  After completion of his medical studies and a 1-year pathology fellowship, Dr. Tanghetti graduated first in his class receiving the Dean Warren medal for academic excellence.  After completing his Internal Medicine residency at Stanford School of Medicine, he was accepted in to the Harvard Medical School's Dermatology program where he completed his training and later finished a fellowship in photomedicine at the Wellman labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital.  Dr. Tanghetti is board certified and a fellow in the the American Academy of Dermatology.  He is currently listed in "Best Doctors in America", Pacific region and recognized as a "Top Doc" by the Sacramento Magazine.  Dr. Tanghetti is clinical professor of Dermatology at U.C. Davis and a fellow in the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.

SHEENA CHAND, PA-C

Dr. Tanghetti is pleased to welcome Sheena Chand our Certified Physician Assistant.  Physician Assistants are medical providers formally trained to practice medicine with physician supervision.  The 30,000 PAs practicing nation wide can be found in every medical and surgical specialty, including dermatology.  Physician Assistants have been practicing with dermatologists for more than twenty years, providing a wide variety of services, including diagnosing illness, writing prescriptions, ordering and interpreting lab tests, wound suturing, and medical or surgical treatment of a wide variety of clinical pathology. 

Sheena Chand, PA-C has multiple years of experience in the Dermatology field prior to entering the PA program.  She received her Masters in Medical Science from Northeastern University in Boston.  She was hand selected and further trained by Dr. Tanghetti and has been practicing in our office since October 2008.  Dr. Tanghetti is confident that she can render the same level of care that he does and he will continue to make himself available to assist her when necessary.  Sheena has experience in managing and treating acne, contact dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, and skin cancer screening.  You may rest assured that your care is still managed by Dr. Tanghetti and that our staff will work as a team for your dermatological concerns. I believe that adding a PA to the practice will enable us to provide you with greater accessibility and prompt care.  Sheena Chand’s presence will greatly benefit our patients.
